towed the sami home today. bout 100 miles. never even knew it was there

changed out to a superduty grill. i really want the 05 and up grille and headlights but i dont want to spend 600. this was free. the chrome was shot so i prepped and rattle canned it. opinions?

i also got f350 springs for it. im going to do shocks and inspect brakes etc before i go. Im considering regearing to 4.30's also

would the 4.30s be good on something doin all that travelin? Just wondering if it would hurt the highway mpg that much

actually they say 4.30's is the way to go towing. at 70 im at 18-2000 and the truck searches for gear even at a small grade. if im going faster and get it to 22-2300 rpm i dont have as much of an issue. they say the 4.30's will net about the same mpg towing as 373 because it isnt searching and running in 3rd all thie time. it is really expensive, i probably wont do it because it is expensive

they came with them from the factory as a tow option. i really should go 4.56's. i am unsure and dont feel comfortable with setting them up myself. well, john and i. setting up gears on a trail rig is one thing but something im going to tow with and put thousands of miles on makes me nervous.
